Coastal Cowboys Football & Cheerleading realizes, in these tough economic times, not all of our families are able to bear the full financial burden associated with signing their children up for organized sports. We firmly believe that ALL of the children will benefit from being involved in our program. We do not want children of families that might need a little help to miss out. The mentorship, life lessons, memories and friendships formed will last a lifetime.

With the assistance of our very generous sponsors and through charitable donations of fellow Coastal Cowboys members, a Scholarship Fund has been created to assistance our families with registration costs. Article XI, Section 2 of the Coastal Cowboys Bylaws ensures a fair and equitable disbursement of the Scholarship Fund.

A participant candidate who is financially unable to pay the required fees to become a member, at the discretion of the Board of Directors, will be allowed to apply for a “scholarship” from the Coastal Cowboys. The Board of Directors or designated committee will review all applications and determine if all or some of the fees and equipment will be provided to the Scholarship Member.

1. The parent/guardian of the scholarship candidate will be required to;

(a) Submit an application to the Board of Directors detailing the hardship and need for assistance.
(b) If the scholarship is granted, volunteer a minimum of six (6) hours at games and/or practices to assist with operations or fundraisers at the discretion of the President or designee.
(c) Ensure that the participant attends practice and games at the times set forth by the coach of assigned team or cheer squad.
(d) Return all equipment provided to the scholarship participant at the end of the last game or practice of the season.
2. Failure to abide by the provisions in Article XI Section 2 [1] may result in, suspension from participation or revocation of membership and could affect any future scholarship applications.
3. The number of full and partial scholarships provided will be determined by the Board of Directors and calculated in to each budget year.
